Lifting
Lift Weights and Spirits!
As an individual who loves physical activity, lifting is my number one hobby. On average, I will go to the gym for roughly 2 hours 5-6 times a week to get in my needed exercise.
I started my journey with weights as a freshman at UMD. A few friends motivated me to not only increase my lifting numbers but also change my physical appearance.
As you all know, the COVID-19 Pandemic has led to the closure of all gyms. However, this doesn't stop me from having my own work out at my home during my free time! Adapting to change allows me to stay active!
Cooking
Creativity at its Finest
Another one of my favorite hobbies is cooking. Ever since moving into my apartment at the stat of Junior year, it is clear that being able to cook for myself is a crucial asset.
Furthermore, cooking and diet goes hand in hand with nutrition and weightlifting, which together makes up a healthy lifestyle. Learning how to make food and controlling exactly what goes into my food allows me to maximize my lifting efforts but also learn a new skill that tastes good!
To the right is a picture of a fusion dish that I made. The original dish is called 'Chinese Beef and Onion Stir Fry'. However, in this recipe used USDA Flank Steak, which is then stir fried with onions made in a Chinese Sauce. The result yields larger steak slices of beef with the same onion and pepper mix.

Traveling
Diversity and Inclusion at Its Finest
To me, traveling is not only a hobby, but an eye opening adventure. Enjoying unique components of different cultures opens one's eyes to more in life.
In the picture to the left, I am posing with my brothers off the coast of Cancún, Mexico.
Advice: No Matter what the weather app says, it's always going to be sunny!
In the picture to the right, I am at a mountain top owned by a monkey clan in Kyoto, Japan.
Advice: If its shiny, small, or edible, keep it out of sight.

Phi Delta Sigma Fraternity
Honor, Virtue, Brotherhood!
On campus, I am involved in an Asian Interest Fraternity (Phi Delta Sigma). We are a fraternity dedicated to mental health awareness, as the topic is a stigmatized in the Asian American Community.
This photo was taken at our probate, which is an event that occurs every semester to congratulate and introduce the new members into Asian Greek Life. Here I am with my 5 other line brothers, as well as our process guides.
